China experiences one of the most exciting times in the biax history. In view of the immense capacity building with new lines and the changes in the market, it is more and more important for companies, to keep their lines competitive. Therefore, Brückner Servtec supports Chinese film manufacturers with a dedicated service team to keep the lines ahead. The highlights of Servtec’s huge product portfolio were presented at a special in-house exhibition in Shanghai at the beginning of June.
Christoph Mayer, Managing Director Brückner China, and Rüdiger Surm, Service Manager Brückner Servtec, welcomed numerous film producers from all over China. The audience gained valuable insights from Brückner’s experts how to improve the performance and availability of existing lines: Manufacturing Management System (MMS) MMS is a process analysis and optimization software for the film industry and reduces production costs. The system consists of several integrated modules out of which three were presented more in detail:
Integrated Process Control (IPC)
Brückner’s IPC consists of one single system for the control and visualization of the entire film production line. Since there is less variety of installed hard and software, costs for the system’s maintenance, service and support are much lower, compared to systems which include several suppliers. Remote Service Tool TRAVIS Mentor The
TRAVIS Mentor is a remote service tool for fast and efficient troubleshooting and maintenance. It is a small and lightweight tablet PC which allows plant and machine control using WLAN. The user gets connected to a service specialist just at the push of a button for troubleshooting directly on the spot. This speeds up service and support processes and lowers service costs.
