Biaxplen & Brückner: A perfect example for a fruitful life-long partnership
To stay at the top of Europe’s plastics film business needs a good strategy, long-term thinking and the serious determination to consistently further develop oneself. Reliable partners are at least as important. When Russian film manufacturer Biaxplen started their way to the top at the beginning of the new millennium, they decided to go with Brückner.
Centerpiece of the successful cooperation are of course the three highly productive BOPP film production lines in Novokuybyshevsk and Zheleznodorozhniy. Since Biaxplen has acquired a 50% stake in the renowned Italian BOPP film producer and Brückner customer Manucor in autumn 2019, the relations have become even more intensive. In the more and more comprehensive BOPP film market all three – Biaxplen, Manucor and Brückner – have the common goal to optimize the availability of their production sites and constantly striving for excellence.
To actively contribute to the most important issues of the future – sustainability, circular economy, energy efficiency, climate protection – Biaxplen’s machine park has to be state-of-the-art. Together with Brückner Servtec they regularly execute audits and trainings, make line upgradings and use the latest spare parts – a true life cycle service to optimize equipment and processes for new film types and market demands.
The partnership also includes a trustful joint development of oriented films at the respective R&D centers at the Brückner premises in Germany and at the Sibur PolyLab in Moscow. The latter is equipped with Brückner’s laboratory stretcher KARO. Those who understand Russian should click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1XZtoxsC-k

Biaxplen is the leading producer of biaxially oriented polypropylene film BOPP in Russia and – through the joint venture with Manucor – also in Italy. In six facilities the total annual BOPP film production capacity in Russia is 180,000 tons, in Italy 100,000 tons.
