Youlchon Chemical, Korea, a member of the Nong-Shim Group, has a leadership position in the packaging industry. After a destructive fire at one of their BOPP lines at the end of September 2007, the line was once again ready for film production within only amazing 4.5 months!
During the fire, the complete electrical system has been destroyed. Youlchon organised the disassembling and cleaning of the line components before re-installation while Brückner Servtec delivered a new electrical system and replaced several mechanical parts. In order to keep the downtime of the line as short as possible, Brückner brought in immediately additional personal resources and provided its utmost efforts to make the line run again.
Due to the enormous dedication of all involved people, the line was set up for film production at the beginning of February. Youlchon’s Managing Director/Film Division J. J. Kim says: “Since we had to minimise the suddenly arisen loss of production after the fire, fast acting of everybody was important. The Brückner project team has been on the spot straight away and helped us to realise this target. The cooperation between Youlchon and Brückner project teams has been perfect and a very positive experience for both sides.”
