The 10th anniversary of the Speciality Films & Flexible Packaging Global Summit, hosted by ElitePlus Business Services, took place on 31st August – 01st September 2023 in Mumbai, India and gathered more than 1.950 experts from the entire plastic packaging industry. This year’s summit focused on growth opportunities, circular economy and new production- and film-technologies.
The event featured an impressive line-up of expert speakers discussing cutting-edge technologies and applications, including monomaterial laminates and biaxial oriented PE films for easy recyclability, transparent metallization with special coatings, and much more. Also, governmental perspectives on sustainability and circular economy including their impact on the film stretching industry were addressed and discussed.
Markus Gschwandtner (CEO of Brückner Servtec) gave a deep insight into the development and future potential of biaxial oriented PE Films in the film stretching business. In particular, how existing production plants can be transformed to the production of high quality and fully recyclable film types.
