Brückner Servtec, the service affiliate within the German Brückner Group, and Brückner Technology (Suzhou) recently hosted a joint Open House which focused on adding value to film production today and in the future. More than 90 visitors from Chinese customers followed the invitation and attended the special event in Suzhou.
Nenad Udovcic, Service Director at Brückner Technology (Suzhou), guided the audience through an interesting two-days-program of presentations and demonstrations which included the latest technologies, market developments, services and R&D results for the biax industry. Markus Gschwandtner, Sales Director at Brückner Maschinenbau, started with his presentation on the global BO-film market outlook and the future path of the Chinese BO-film industry. Another highlight was the lecture given by Dr. Jürgen Breil, Head of New Technologies and R&D at Brückner Maschinenbau. He informed the delegates about the research and development environment and the latest results from Brückner’s unique pilot line. How customers can add significant value to their film production with upgrading to 5-layer film has been shown by Erich Huber, Senior Regional Service Manager at Brückner Servtec.
The second day started with a tour of Brückner’s facilities, where the delegates showed a lot of interest in Brückner’s film stretching technologies and services. Christoph Mayer, Managing Director at Brückner Technology (Suzhou), guided the delegates through the manufacturing halls. A highlight was the clip and chain refurbishment center which is the most advanced of its kind in China.
Tiffany Liu, Customer Relationship Manager at Brückner Technology (Suzhou), started the afternoon presentation session and explained how line productivity can be improved with professional after-sales services. A further presentation was given by customer speaker Xu Zhi Qiang, General Manager at Shanghai Zidong Film Material Co., Ltd. and Chairman of the Chinese Association of Manufacturers of Polyester Film. He gave an insight how to face the challenges in the film market in a very impressive presentation. The delegates were also informed how to increase product quality and reduce production cost with web inspection systems. Carsten Wirth, Director of Sales at Dr. Schenk, explained in detail the inline automatic optical inspection technology.
