New film types with Brückner’s state-of-the-art MDO stretching unit

Successful upgrade for BOPP high-speed line

In order to improve the film quality and enter the high margin market for metallized film, Brückner Servtec conducted a comprehensive upgrade at a large BOPP line for a US film producer.

The upgrade included, among others, a new stretching unit for the MDO: the highlight of Brückner’s advanced technology is the flexible stretching according to the film type. The system enables individually adjustable stretching gaps leading to perfect adjustment of the unit for sensitive skins avoiding scratches. Further to the process advantage, also the maintenance is improved: all stretching rolls are mounted from the top, which makes the removal of the rolls faster and easier.

The customer is very satisfied with the upgrade since they are able to produce metallize base films with excellent film quality at the high-speed line, and the well-known and proofed experiences and flexibility of the Brückner Servtec specialists.
