8th Speciality Film Conference in Mumbai, India
With more than 1,350 delegates from 21 countries this year’s 8th edition of the speciality film conference was the biggest event of its kind. The themes of sustainability and growth have guided the 2 days event at a special time, just one week after Indian’s Prime Minister Mahendra Modi remarkable speech at Indian National Day pledging for a ban of single-use-plastics and asking a high ranking committee to draft a definition what exactly are single-use-plastics.
In various speeches from government officials to world-leading brand-owners and film makers the need for recyclable multi-layer flexible packaging solutions have been promoted. Brückner Servtec’s speech on its efforts to focus the R&D activities on sustainability & digitalisation has been very well received. Insights to the needs to reduce on material consumption by lower film thickness at similar film parameters or recycle using mono-material structures built on PE or PP have been in-line with not only with India’s future demand but attracted global brand-owners.
