LIWIND®
Linear motor for control of contact roll at winding system
Brückner's LIWIND® system is an advanced linear motor technology for contact winding. The system replaces the original mechanic / pneumatic / hydraulic contact roll positioning / damping / contact pressure system at the winder by a linear motor system. It is used for optimizing the winding quality by controlling:
- Adjustable contact pressure onto the winding core/mill roll
- Contact roll position depending on winding diameter
- Adjustable contact roll damping of possible vibrations
- Backlash-free system
This technology significantly improves the winding of sensitive films and at higher speeds.
